About the Project

This chandelier was installed on September 2nd, 2009 in the conference room at the old First National Bank building. The building is located in downtown Dothan, AL and is currently being converted into a law office. The fixture was professionally installed by the Lampman crew. Also, a decorative medallion was added in the installation.

The chandelier frame was originally from an old hotel in Miami, Florida. Since the frame was of the old French Empire style, the piece was most likely a candle fixture. The crystal chains are an alternating pattern of Baccarat crystal circa 1850′s and thinner Strass chains. The smaller prisms on the bobesches are old French crystal u-drops. All of the crystal was hand strung at our custom shop. The dimensions are approximately 4ft wide by 6ft tall

An individualized designed chandelier for a progressive Christian Church in Dothan, Alabama. This project took about 6 months to complete from start to finish. The Lampman began by detailing the type of steel needed for the height and width of the room, which the ceiling height is to the top of the building 30 feet. The chandelier is approximately 24 feet across by 20 feet tall, consisting of around 40,000 cut crystal beads. The weight of the rods made it essential that they be able to hold their weight as well as the beads hanging from them. There are 72 lights inside of the crystals, which also have amber crystals intermixed for add dimension. The person at the top of the picture is The Lampman himself putting some finishing touches on the fixture and insuring all is secure. The project met with a few setbacks, mainly due to the project construction and weather, but was right on track for initial grand celebration for opening night.

About the project

These Gothic Style lanterns were replicated from a vintage style lantern that was purchased in New Orleans, Louisiana. The one we have is quite a bit smaller. The design was replicated with an auto cad machine and then the parts were laser cut with a local company. Since we have the pattern style, we can duplicate these lanterns in any size needed. We can also adjust the pattern, taking parts out and adding others. These are made with either iron or brass. They can have as many lights as needed and possibly one down light. The glass is optional and/or whatever type you might want. We have installed these but, any certified electrician can install them. These were the perfect style for this Methodist Church in Eufaula, Alabama. From start to finish, this project took around 3 months.

About the Project

A four tier chandelier custom made for a client’s home residence in Dothan, Alabama. The ceiling height for their grand room is approximately 24 feet high. This made the perfect backdrop for a chandelier of this size. There is a balcony at the second floor level which gives this birdseye view of the fixture. There are 27 lights with candle drip covers. The entire chandelier is made of iron. The iron brackets are welded together with the arms for the lights. The fixture itself is 7 feet tall and 6 feet wide. The chandelier was assembled on site when installed with an electric hoist.

About the project

This project was fabricated for a client on Lake Martin, Alabama. They have a 22 foot ceiling with octagonal walls culminating up to a point. The fixture is two octagonals with eight lights in the bottom and 16 lights on the top. The inserts are amber mica which were individually cut to fit into the fixture itself. We made up the design based on the design of the walls and room. This fixture really enhances the feeling of openness while also bringing the scale of the height of the ceiling to a more cosy setting. This fixture took about 4 months to complete from inception to installation. This fixture was individually welded ; wired by and installation done by The Lampman crew on site.
